Teaching
The more you practice or study the farther you will go. This goes for anything you strive for. If you want to play better, you will, but only if you practice.
Weekly Lessons are important, that is why I try to set up a consistent time for each week and reschedule when the occasional conflict occurs.
Just like Jack Benny...
I believe in Kreutzer etudes for violin... I try to keep lessons lively and fun as well as full of training to help you become the best players you can. Lessons are so chuck full of work that 30, 45 or 60 minutes goes by like the wind. My students often say at the end of the lesson... wow.. that was fast! Never a dragging moment. The more you practice, the better you will become. Start lessons today to become the best violinist you can.
A short list of what you will learn...
Some of the things you will learn or perfect while taking lessons in my studio are:

Linda

Violin Posture
Holding the violin correctly improves sound, relieves strain and helps your bow arm do its job.
Bow Hold
Holding the bow properly allows you to do a smoother bow and gives you flexibility to "bounce" as well as other bowing styles.Voila
Overall Posture
How you stand and sit while you play makes a big difference in your sound. Learn all you need to in your lessons.
Musical Styles
While I try to make lessons as fun as possible, you must first learn the basics and how to practice before you can "jam" to your own tune. But I do try to incorporate the types of music you like in your lessons.
